Counselling Service for Children & Young People (ages 5-18 years) in Worcestershire, Warwickshire, West Midlands & online

Speak in Confidence

I believe if a young person's mind is free from anxiety and stress, they are also free to play, learn, explore and fulfil their true potential. Being really listened to can be the first significant step towards a young person feeling more in control of a situation and be empowered to make positive change in their life.

Creative Approach

Alongside talking therapy, I offer a creative approach which can be very enabling and therapeutic for young people. This can include sand trays and symbols, clay, puppets, games, art materials and nesting dolls. Offering an element of playfulness and exploration in therapy can be very helpful for a young client.

Led By You

I have a broad range of creative resources which are avalaible to be used in sessions. Everything is the client's choice; I follow the young person's lead in how they prefer to engage in counselling.

"Paula has shown a clear ability to connect with children and help them explore difficult feelings and emotions. She has been able to do this due to her vast knowledge and skills. Her holistic approach, which she draws on with each individual child, enables her to connect gently and with kindness. She has become a very valued member of our team at school.

Paula also supports school staff, and staff have commented on how important those sessions have been in helping them with their mental health and wellbeing."

— Mental Health Lead for two linked Special Education Schools (Primary and Secondary) in Staffordshire and Oldbury.

“It has been brilliant to have Paula work with pupils in our school. She has supported two children exploring family, behaviour and feelings. These sessions have been invaluable to the pupils and their families, allowing them to explore their emotions and develop tool kits to support them in and out of school. Paula is highly professional and is able to keep all sessions highly confidential whilst also passing on relevant information to support school staff and parents with the pupils’ needs. This is particularly helpful when highlighting suggestions for next steps when the therapy sessions have come to an end.”
